ND:YAG Laser
How It Works
This laser is a long wavelength laser capable of penetrating deep beneath the skin into the superficial blood vessels which creates heat to target diseased cells and superficial veins.
The heat generated from the ND:YAG laser coagulates the blood inside the superficial veins, causing it to collapse and seal, so no further blood flow occurs. This lack of blood flow is what gradually makes the superficial veins disappear.
What It Treats
This laser can effectively treat many skin conditions but it’s the most effective at treating unwanted blue, red and purple veins and lesions on the face and body. It is also a great treatment option for freckles and some pigmented birth marks while sparing the surrounding skin.
